Vote – Your Power To Screw Yourself!

vote for american president You think we are kidding? No way…Ever heard an election speech? It’s not worth the time coz it’s mostly false promises and yet we fall for it repeatedly. The basic ‘tag line’ for almost any candidate standing in the elections is …”I Promise You…”. It’s a very powerful line and it seems to work wonders for these politicians and why not, these guys are selling us HOPE! Well in fact, its a kind of business too. The guy who markets his “promises” effectively, gets the vote. Fair deal? After being voted into power, things become more like an after sales service (which actually sucks), which means ‘WE’ the people get screwed.

These guys talk about bringing back the troops, bringing about a change, starting something ‘NEW’, the list goes on forever in every single presidential elections. But how many of them actually work on what they promised the people of America? Hardly any and even if any one of them tries to bring in a change, you bet the opposition would be there play spoilsport. Finally it boils down to becoming ‘The President Of The United States Of America’…yes, being in that powerful position which is respected by almost every country in this world. Did you ask why ‘Almost’? Well.. Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia…. are still part of this world.

From the time Obama was elected to now, the only good thing to happen in the White House is that the Obama family added a new member to their family. Don’t let you imagination run wild, we are talking about ‘Bo’, the DOG. So what about the promises? Ah…emmm…What exactly was in the election speech? Cut the crap. We all know nothing’s gonna happen. Creation of jobs in the US, no more tax holidays for companies outsourcing their jobs, you think it’s possible? Will the big businesses let this happen? Businesses do know which strings to pull when such decisions are made so that they get the maximum benefits. In most cases, the president is more like a puppet in the hands of corporate giants and investors. In short the guys who control the economy.

Hard to believe? How about this…Chinese have made massive investments in the US and what if they threaten to take back their money in case outsourcing is restricted or if their products are banned in the US? Our economy would go Ka BOOM! That would be a horrible situation to be in. Luckily, it’s not as simple this or else America would be a sitting duck for other countries to exploit. But the point that we are trying to put across is that there are external factors that control the policies that America makes.

In the next five years, there will be changes. But will they be for the good of the Americans? It’s yet to be seen if these changes benefit businesses or the people in general. How long will it take for the people of America to realize this? Maybe it’s time for someone to come up with a book ‘American President For Idiots’!
