US Healthcare Run By Criminals!

In the United States there are about 45 million people who do not have a shred of healthcare. There are many reasons why this is, and why as a country we have some of the shittiest healthcare on the planet, but one of the reasons that so many people are getting screwed and dying because of it might have something to do with the fact that healthcare and drug companies are run by a bunch of f*cking criminals. On Wednesday, Pfizer, the largest drug company in American was slapped with the biggest criminal fine in United States history, $2,3 BILLION dollars. Why? Because they are some shady m$$$erf@$kers, that’s why.

The reason that Pfizer has been hit with the biggest fine in US history is because they were bribing doctors to use their products for completely unrelated problems. The Pfizer reps would dole out hundreds of thousands of dollar worth of services, goods, and vacations in a ploy to get the doctors to prescribe their drugs for ailments that did not require them. Outrageous, no? Well this s*it has been going on for at least a decade, and more likely since Day 1 for Pfizer.

The company has been referred to as a repeat offender for this kind of thing. Back in 2004 Pfizer got hit with another huge fine for doing the exact same thing, trying to get the docs to peddle their drugs for a profit and no benefit for the patient. As you can see the fine did absolutely nothing to impact Pfizer’s shady practices, and this most recent fine will most likely do about the same. This is Pfizer we are talking about, which rakes in bazillions of dollars every second by profiting off of people’s ailments. $2.3 billion dollars is spare change to a company like Pfizer, only a minor bump in the road to stealing as much money as they can from the American public.

Until this country has a healthcare system that is run not for profit will we see any amount of change, but until then, companies like Pfizer quite literally have a license to steal.
