Political Pundits Killing America?

Most of the free thinking population of America knows that the talking heads on the top network news agencies are blowhard assh*les, but unfortunately, the majority of American’s are too f*cking stupid to realize that they are being lied to and take what people like Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck are saying as the honest truth. The reality of the situation is that these blowhards are simply playing off of our inherent susceptibility to fear and hate, and are fanning the fire that is consuming America from the inside out.

Until his death, Walter Cronkite was the most trusted newsman in America because when you saw him on the television, you knew that he was telling the truth. When Mr. Cronkite choked up when reporting such stories as the moon landing or the assassination of President Kennedy, those were his real emotions, not simulated emotions specifically constructed to illicit an emotional response from his viewers. It was the real deal. Now, however, the most watched news presenters of today could not be more false, more obviously fake, or more dishonest to the American people.

After Glenn Beck’s recent statement that President Obama is a racist and specifically hates white people, around half of his sponsors have pulled their ads from his program. While certainly a step in the right direction, these companies should never have aligned themselves with such a sensational ass in the first place. Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly have proven again and again that they are hypocritical liars, playing off of our fears and spouting hate every time they open their mouths. Just like Betsy McCaughey, these people are telling the public lie after lie, and people are eating it up like Kobayashi at a hotdog eating contest. These pundits are more dangerous to the American people than any terrorist organization the world have to offer and unless we stop watching these people and giving them our hard earned cash, America will no longer be worth saving.
