Be American, Buy American!
Although it’s highly doubtful it will ever come into being, let’s imagine for a moment an American that hasn’t become completely reliant on the rest of the world. First and foremost, we hire only legal U.S. citizens to start construction work on building new manufacturing plants. If we limit to amount of imports from foreign countries and focus on becoming a self sustainable country again, then the demand for these manufacturing plants with increase exponentially. Then we hire people to do pre and post construction work to make sure that everything is nice and environmental friendly.
Why environmental friendly, you ask? The reason is that going “Green” would be beneficial to the U.S. in more than one way. Whether you believe in global warming or not, no one likes to live in an area with huge amount of pollution. Also, it would create new jobs for even more legal U.S. citizens.
Now that we’ve got that handled, how about hiring some people to work in those fancy new manufacturing plants. We’ll need some people to work, some people to manage those people who are working, then a few people to make sure those people aren’t slacking off, and someone to sit around signing pay checks, and someone to bring that person coffee. But nobody wants to work in a place that only focuses on how efficiently it works, it has to have an appealing environment, in both the physical and the social sense. So let’s hire some interior decorators and maybe a few landscapers. That would open up jobs for both janitors and gardeners.
Throw in a couple of safety regulators and you have yourself a grade-A industry! Wonder what would happen if we did that a few times, for each type of business that has gone either nearly or entirely overseas?
Oh gee….would it bring back oodles and oodles of jobs to America, as well as boosting our economy? How does it boost the economy, when all the prices are going to skyrocket? That’s a great question! There’s no point in denying that all the prices will go up, and for a while, quality might even go down – but both of those things are happening anyway. So why are people going to buy these expensive, low quality items? Two words; American made.
With the right advertising, price needn’t be an issue. With American made products, you have the knowledge that you’re supporting your country to the fullest. Your tax dollars are spent in America, your items’ quality are assured by America, your money stays in America. Also, let’s not forget possibly the most important thing of all – when you buy American made products, you ensure that jobs stay in America.
We have one thing to say to those big businesses who are sending jobs overseas, “Have the guts to support your own country”.

The same is going on in my country Latvia. We are eaten up by big Europe. Local producers cannot compete and break. Local plants are distroyed as European Union dictates that – they need consumption only. And from the East we see that Russia is more and more active wanting to make influence with their demagogy and misinformation in mass media. Sad.

I am from India and i am proud of being an Indian, as we are now one of the fastest growing economy in the world, already are the super power in IT ..Mr Obama mind it..u can’t stop the outsourcing of IT projects from US to India ..although i know that yo are aiming it for get rid of recession ..but that’s not the right way..even your business organizations are not happy with it… We have manage to balance our economy in this time of recession on the basis of the demand and supply effectively managed for domestic and as well international demands..
