9/11, Iraq And Afghanistan Have Taught Us Nothing!
You would think that most citizens and Government officials in the United States would have learned something about why people all over the world hate us through the examples of the 9/11 attacks, the Iraq War, and the war in Afghanistan, but you would be wrong. The lessons that we should have learned over the past 25 years obviously have not sunk in, as exemplified by the rehiring of the mercenary group Blackwater, now re-branded as Xe. This lawless group of mercenaries is hated throughout the Middle East because of their brutal tactics and indiscriminate killings, yet the United States government keeps re-upping their contracts, basically spitting in the face of every citizen of the Middle East.
A specific term of the US agreement with the Government of Iraq states that the US needs to get Blackwater the f*ck out of Iraq. The people of Iraq have been slaughtered wholesale by this group time and time again, and the US government knows all about it. So what do that do? They give them billions more dollars to go kill Iraqis and Afghanis without any sort of oversight or accountability while “protecting diplomats”. This is exactly why people hate the f*ck out of the United States. Osama Bin Laden initiated the 9/11 attacks because of US Foreign Policy and the injustice that the CIA has shown the people of the Middle East. It’s not because they hate our freedom or the fact that we are predominantly Christian, it is because of the despicable actions of the US government abroad, plain and simple.
So here we are now, with the war in Iraq winding down after the US killed somewhere around 1,000,000 of its citizens and the War in Afghanistan ramping up, it becomes apparent that we have learned absolutely nothing. In a few years the War in Afghanistan will be over and there will be a short time of “peace” until the military industrial complex decides we need to go out and kill a shit ton more people, all to fill the pockets of the already obscenely rich.
